Congress mocks PM Modi, demonetisation
New Delhi, Jan 12 (IBNS): The Congress mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his move to demonetise higher currency notes.
Alleging that the move has resulted in a plummet in demand for loans, the party tweeted, "As our Govt continues to live in la-la land, there is a sharp decline in demand for loans due to demonetization."
"Demand for Loans down by 60% in consumer durables, 43% in 2-wheelers, 31% in industry, 27% in housing & 23% in personal. Wah Modi ji wah!" a second tweet read.
Earlier on Wednesday, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had said that 'Acche Din' (better days) will come only with Congress in power, mocking BJP's slogan for the 2014 general elections.
