Delhi Govt moves HC against ACB chief Meena's appointment
New Delhi, June 27 (IBNS) The Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi filed an interim application on Saturday in the Delhi high court challenging the appointment of Joint Commissioner of Police Mukesh Kumar Meena as Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) chief.
Meena was appointed to the post following a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said that Meena was currently under the scanner for an alleged hawala racket.
Earlier this week, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had written to Union home minister Rajnath Singh citing the rule book and pointing out that there was no post of joint commissioner in ACB at present.
