Delhi: Man stabs ex-lover to death, kills self
New Delhi, Sept 20 (IBNS): A 28-year old mother of two was stabbed to death by her ex-lover in public on Sundayevening in west Delhi's Inder Puri, media reports said. The man also killed himself by slashing his own wrist.
Laxmi, the victim, had lodged a complaint against her former lover Sanjay for stalking her. Though he was arrested, Sanjay was later released on bail.
The police had earlier filed a chargesheet against him in court under sections of stalking and a case was pending, reports added.
The stalker would harass the victim over phone calls, ringing her as many as 10 times a day and asking her to meet him.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the stalker slashed his wrists before trying to slash the victim's neck.
A chase followed and Laxmi was stabbed in the abdomen.
Both Sanjay and Laxmi were taken to the hospital, where the lady was declared brought dead and her attacker succumbed to his self inflicted wounds the following morning.
Reports have said that Laxmi was in a relationship with her killer before her marriage, but their courtship ended prematurely owing to Sanjay's unemployment.
