Dhaka: Ramkrishna Mission officials gets death threat
Dhaka, June 16 (IBNS): Hindus Ramakrishna mission in Dhaka has received threats to their lives from alleged militants, media reports said on Thursday.
"Mission authorities filed a general dairy (GD) with Wari police station after the incident," Prothom Alo reported.
Wari police officer in-charge Zihadul Islam was quoted as saying by the newspaper the letter head states ‘Islamic State of Bangladesh, Chandana intersection Eidgah market, Gazipur'.
The letter has been sent to the Mission by one AB Siddique.
The newspaper quoting the letter said, “You are Hindu. You cannot preach religion in this state as Bangladesh is an Islamic State. You should go to India. Or you will be hacked to death.”
Security has been tightened up around the Mission.
