Former freedom fighter and Puducherry minister D Mudaliar dies
Puducherry, June 24 (IBNS) Freedom fighter and former Puducherry Minister Dhakshinamurthy Mudaliar died on Tuesday night. He was 91.
Reports said Mudaliar's end came at his native T R Pattinam in Karaikal district.
He was keeping an ill health for the past few days.
Mudaliar, who had participated in the Independence struggle later became a in Congress legislator when he won his first assembly polls in 1963. Later, he became the the Health Minister in Chief Minister Edward Goubert's cabinet.
He is survived by two daughters.
