Geelani condemns Mehbooba's "pigeon and cat" reference
Srinagar, May 30 (IBNS) Senior separatist leader and Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani has condemned the statement of Mehbooba Mufti in which she had reportedly said that pigeons cant be left for the cats" referring to the return of Kashmiri pandits to the state.
He said the lady has lost her mental balance after attaining the power.
Geelani said Kashmiris are like pigeons and Indian Army was behaving like cats and “mercilessly killing innocent Kashmiri people (pigeons) and destroying their nests”.
“Comparing Kashmiris as cats is very humiliating statement on the part of Mehbooba Mufti,” a Hurriyat statement saidon Sunday.
He said there will be no threats to Kashmiri Pandits if they returned to their native places and “they can peacefully live with their Muslim brothers there”.
Geelani said that a long term plan of RSS is actually behind the creation of these Sainik colonies and it is aimed to change the demographic character of the Jammu & Kashmir. He said that there is no guarantee that the non-state subjects will not be settled in these colonies.
“Mehbooba Ji is helping the implementation of Nagpur agendas in the state just for the chair and is deceiving her nation by her lies,” the statement reads.
