Girl alleges rape by cops in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun
New Delhi, Jan 2 (IBNS) A teenaged girl of Badaun in Uttar Pradesh has allegedly been raped by two police constables inside a car on Wednesday night, said police.
According to reports, the girl had gone out in the night for toilet when she was caught by the cops who dragged her inside a car and raped her.
The two cops are missing since the incident.
The girl's mother alleged that the girl was missing since she went out for toilet and later she came back late in the night to narrate the incident.
Meanwhile, UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has instructed a senior state police official to probe the incident effectively.
The CM Office tweeted: "Akhileshyadav instructs that a senior Police officer moves from HQRS to coordinate with the efforts of #Badaun police effectively.
"Akhileshyadav also instructs that serious disciplinary action be taken against the culprits & all-out efforts to be made to catch them."
He tweeted that "taking cognizance of the #badaun rape incident, #upcm #Akhileshyadav instructs that alleged culprits are suspended with immediate effect."
Badaun was in news for alleged killing of two girls, both cousins, in May last year after they were found hanging from a tree, fuelling suspicion of their murder after rape.
A CBI probe, however, later said the girls in all probability committed suicide.
