Indian woman kidnapped in Afghanistan
New Delhi, June 10 (IBNS) An Indian woman working with an NGO was kidnapped in Kabul on Thursday night, media reports said.
Judith D'Souza, 40, who hails from Kolkata, is employed in the Aga Khan Development Network, an international NGO.
Reports said the Indian embassy has taken up the matter with the Afghan authorities and all efforts are being made to secure her early release.
"Our Embassy is in touch with senior Afghan authorities and the government is in touch with her family in Kolkata too. All efforts are being made by Afghan authorities to secure her early release", reports quoted Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officials as saying. .
