Madrassa teacher arrested in Bengaluru for al-Qaeda links
New Delhi, Jan 8 (IBNS) Delhi Police have arrested a madrassa teacher for allegedly having links with the terrorist outfit al-Qaida in Bengaluru, reports said.
Identified as Maulana Anzar Shah, the man was arrested on Wednesday night.
Shah has been brought to Delhi on transit remand and will be produced in the court on Friday.
According to police, the man was plotting to carry out a series of terror strikes in the country.
Police made the arrest on the basis of interrogation of two al-Qaida operatives- Zafar Masood and Abdul Rehman-captured earlier.
