Manipal ProLearn offers CompTIA certifications for IT fundamentals
Mumbai, June 24 (IBNS): Manipal ProLearn has partnered with CompTIA, a global provider of vendor neutral IT certifications, to offer three popular CompTIA programs A+, Security+ and IT Fundamentals.
"The biggest benefit of CompTIA certifications is that it’s not bound to a specific technology, like Microsoft, Cisco, VMware or other vendor specific certifications. CompTIA certifications give candidates a solid foundation of essential knowledge and skills, and help them advance their careers," a company statement said.
Companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Novell, HP and others recognize some CompTIA certifications (like the A+ and Network+) in their own certification tracks.
The three programs offered by ProLearn are:

CompTIA Security+
Dealing with computer security areas. It covers industry wide topics including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attack and operational and organization security.
CompTIA IT Fundamentals
An entry-level certification that tests a students’ knowledge of PC components and functions, compatibility and basic technology. It is ideal for anyone considering a career in IT or working in an allied field that requires a broad understanding of IT.
"A unique aspect of the ProLearn CompTIA courses are the optional remote labs, which allow students to practice the new skills remotely and thus gain valuable hands on experience," the statement said.
These 120+ hour online webinar instructor-led training courses, which are followed by a CompTIA examination, are also available without the remote labs option.
