Militants killed in Kashmir encounters with Army
Srinagar, Aug 1 (IBNS) Indian Army on Friday claimed to have killed two more militants in an encounter at Keran sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district, taking the toll to four.
Earlier two militants were killed after they, according to Indian defence sources, tried to ex-filtrate to the Pakistan-administered
Kashmir (PaK). They were intercepted at the Sondi Gali near Line of Control (LoC).
Sources said that the joint team of army's 15 RR and 7 Gadhwal launched massive combing operations to track down the militants.
They said that during the searches army recovered body of two militants and when the hiding militants again opened fire on forces
the encounter resumed resulting in the death of two more militants.
The operation against the hiding militants was going on when the reports last came in.
