Modi ka Parivar: Several BJP leaders change their bio in solidarity with PM over Lalu Yadav's parivaarvaad jibe
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and other senior leaders Monday changed their Twitter bios in solidarity with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over 'parivaarvaad' jibe by Lalu Prasad Yadav.
On Sunday, during the 'Jan Vishwas Maha Rally' at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Lalu Yadav said, "What is this Modi? Narendra Modi is attacking 'parivaarvaad' these days. First, you should explain why you do not have any children or family."
Several BJP leaders have added 'Modi ka Parivar' to their social media profiles.
The move came just after the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Telangana, where he said that 140 crore people in the country are his family.
In a veiled attack on the RJD chief, PM Modi, during his rally in Telangana, said, "When I question their familyism, these people have now started saying that Modi has no family."
"I want to tell them that 140 crore countrymen are my family, those who have no one also belong to Modi, and Modi belongs to them...my country is my family," he said.

मैं इनके परिवारवाद पर सवाल उठाता हूं, तो इन लोगों ने अब बोलना शुरू कर दिया है कि मोदी का कोई परिवार नहीं है।

The Prime Minister countered after Lalu said in a rally, "This Narendra Modi is now attacking dynastic politics. He should explain why he doesn't have a child? He accuses people, who have more children, of promoting dynastic politics. You (Modi) do not have a family."
"He is not a Hindu as well. A Hindu always shaves his hair and beard when someone dies in his family. Why didn't he do that when he lost his mother? Let him say. He is spreading hatred in the country," the former Bihar Chief Minister added.
In Bihar, Lalu's RJD and its ally Congress were dumped by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who rejoined BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Prime Minister Modi has been campaigning hard across the country for the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will be announced by the Election Commission soon.
Modi will fight the polls from Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi.
