Modi to visit Assam today
New Delhi, Apr 8 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday will visit Assam to campaign for the ongoing Assembly polls in the state.
He will address rallies in Raha, Rangia, Sarbhog and Guwahati.
Modi said he will also visit Kamakhya temple in the state.
"Today's Assam campaign includes rallies in Raha, Rangia, Sarbhog and Guwahati," Modi tweeted.
"After many years, on first day of Navratri, getting an opportunity to visit Kamakhya Temple & offer prayers to Maa Kamakhya. Feeling blessed," he said.
Voting for the first phase of Assam polls was held on Apr 4 and polling for the second phase will take place on Apr 11.
