Opposition protests mob lynching, RS adjourned
New Delhi, July 19 (IBNS): The Rajya Sabha was adjounred on Wednesday following a ruckus following the opposition castigating the Government over incidents of mob lynching, reports said.
The principal opposition party, Congress, asked the Government whether it is up for formulating a strict law against mob lynching.
From Madhya Pradesh to Jharkhand, in last few months, several mob lynching occurred in various parts of the country.
One of the recent attacks which shook the nation was the stabbing of a 16- year- old Junaid Khan in a Haryana bound train. He was accused of carrying beef and later attacked.
The deceased, who hails from Ballabgarh, Haryana, has been identified as Junaid, 16, who was travelling home with his brothers Haseem, Moeen and Mohsin after shopping for the upcoming Eid at Delhi's Jama Masjid.
According to a Times of India report, the group passed several communal abuses and humiliated the brothers, asking them to get out of the train.

A man was killed in the state of Jharkhand for carrying beef in a car on June 29. Alimuddin, also known as Asgar Ansari, was driving his Maruti car while he was stopped by a mob in Ramgarh district and beaten up.
Though Alimuddin was taken to a hospital by the police, he soon died.
Apart from these incidents, a dairy owner was attacked three days before Jharkhand attack by a mob after they saw the carcass of a cow. The mob resorted to set his house into fire.
Without taking the name of the Muslims, Congress stated that a particular community is being targeted.
The leaders of the opposition political parties even staged a protest in the well of the upper house.
Earlier in the day, the Opposition attacked the ruling BJP-led NDA government in Parliament raising the farmer's issue that rocked Madhya Pradesh several weeks ago after a police firing on agitating peasants left several dead.
