Patanjali fined INR 11 lakh for misbranding
Haridwar, Dec 15 (IBNS): Patanjali, an Indian FMCG company spearheaded by the aura of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, has been fined INR 11 lakh for misbranding and misleading ads, reports said.
The fine was imposed by a district court as judge Lalit Narain Mishra, Haridwar's Additional District Magistrate, found them guilty of breaching several policies.
The ADM also found Patanjali gulity of selling products manufactured by other firms as their own.
The Ramdev propelled company is eyeing to double its profit by the next financial year.
Acharya Balkrishna is the managing director and primary stakeholder of Patanjali Ayurved.
