PM Modi to attend several programmes across the country today
New Delhi, Apr 14 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending several programmes across the country on Thursday.
PM Modi will first head to Mumbai to attend the Maritime Summit, followed by a visit to Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, the birth place of BR Ambedkar.
Modi, who had earlier paid tributes to Ambedkar on the latter's birth anniversary, wrote on Twitter, "On this special day will attend programmes across India. First heading to Mumbai for the Maritime India Summit."
"Maritime India Summit brings together many nations & will be a game changer in the development of our ports & coastal infrastructure," he said.
The Prime Minister will also address a gathering in Mhow.
"Will pay my respects to Dr. Ambedkar at Mhow in MP & address a public meeting as a part of the 'Gramoday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan.'," he said.
The campaign is designed to enhance rural development, to enhance Panchayati Raj and farmer welfare.
"'Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan' is a nation wide movement to enhance Panchayati Raj, farmer welfare & rural dev."
Modi will also launch an e-trading platform, where 21 mandis from eight states will join him.
"In the evening will launch e-trading platform for the National Agriculture Market. 21 mandis from 8 States will join the platform today."
