PM Modi's flip-flops create confusion on what he stands for : Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi, Sept 8 (IBNS) Launching a scathing attack on Narendra Modi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday said the Prime Minister "has been reduced to unedifying flip-flops creating confusion on what he really stands for".
Speaking at a meeting of the party's Working Committee, Gandhi also said the Modi government is "out of touch" with the ground realities as it has been reflected in its action on Land Ordinance.
"The U-turn on Land Ordinance is evidence that government is out of touch with ground realities...Thanks to our party's sustained campaign, the government has been compelled to withdraw its anti-farmer amendments," said.
The CWC met to chalk out the party's strategy in the Bihar assembly election.
Sonia also accused the government of distorting history by targeting former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. "History is sought to be rewritten with special targeting of Jawaharlal Nehru," she said.
Sonia also aleged that autonomy and integrity of vital institutions are being" systematically eroded" in the NDA regime.
Sonia also attacked the Modi government on the recent tension with Pakistan, saying this government has no "coherent policy" on the neighbouring country.
