Rohit Vermula debate: Rajya Sabha adjourned
New Delhi, Feb 24 (IBNS) Parliament's upper house Rajya Sabha was adjourned till noon on Wednesday after a ruckus was raised over the issue of Dalit student Rohit Vermula's suicide.
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati raised the issue of Rohit Vermula's suicide in Rajya Sabha attacking the RSS for its role in the tragedy.
She said it is not the first time that such an incident occurred in Hyderabad University.
Her lawmakers also raised slogans inside the upper house and stormed into the well of the house.
"We want justice for Rohit," they chanted.
