Salim Khan joins Irrfan Khan in condemning Dhaka attack
Mumbai, Jul 4 (IBNS): Former Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan on Sunday condemned the Dhaka terror attack and urged people to condemn it too, following soon after a strong condemnation by actor Irrfan Khan.
Khan took to Twitter to vent his anger.
"Dhaka -The people involved with these acts at regular intervals all over the world call themselves Muslims. To be a Muslim one has to follow the Prophet and Quran. I don't know what these people are following but they are not following Islam at all," he tweeted.
Refusing to be on the same side as that of the terrorist, Khan said that Islam is about peace and humanity.
"If they are Muslims for any reason I am not.The Prophet said 'killing one innocent human was equivalent to killing the humanity'," Khan said.
Calling the attack a case of cowardice, Khan said, "On this eid let us pledge that our prayers will be incomplete without condemning the senseless cowardly killing."
Earlier, actor Irrfan Khan, who had angered Muslim clerics with his remark on Qurbani in the month of Ramzan, condemned the Dhaka attack and posted on social media:"Quran ki aayeten naa janne ki wajeh se ramzaan ke mahine mein logon ko qatal ker diya gaya. Haadsa ek jagah hota hai , badnaam Islaam aur poori duniya ka musalman hota hai, [They killed people for not knowing the verses of Quran. The incident happens in one place and the whole Muslim community of the world and Islam are defamed.”
Hearts bleed all over ..... he tweeted.
