Sonia Gandhi's mega road show in Varanasi today
Varanasi, Aug 2 (IBNS) : Beginning in the enemy turf her campaign for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will hold a road show in Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to reports, the road show will be of a show of strength as the Congress supremo will cover a 6.4 km distance on an open truck, led by 10,000 bikers. She will be accompanied by senior party leaders, including the party's Chief Ministerial candidate Sheila Dikshit and UP chief Raj Babbar.
After a series of electoral reverses in several states, the Congress has now pulled up its socks to go whole hog for Uttar Pradesh, the state once it lorded over.
Sonia Gandhi is expected to launch a virulent attack on Narendra Modi taking up the issue of development, which it alleges, has been eluding this VIP constituency.
