Third Test: SA trail by 205 runs, India need 6 wickets to win match
Nagpur, Nov 27 (IBNS) South African captain Hashim Amla along with Faf du Plessis showed grit and determination to prevent further damage and hand India an early lead after Ravi Ashwin's dual strike in the first hour of the match left the Proteas stranded, on day three of the third Test match between India and South Africa, here on Friday.
The visitors lost Elgar (18), caught at silly point by Pujara off Ashwin and then was dealt another blow by the offie, who with a carom-ball trapped AB de Villiers (9) in front.
Just when things looked in the favor of the Indians, Amla (28 not out) and du Plessis (23 not out) used their feet and played with good technique to negate the spin threat.
At lunch, South Africa have scored 105 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. They need another 205 runs to win the match and level the series 1-1.
