This Govt. is like Nero fiddling while Rome burns: Markandey Katju on BJP's progress
New Delhi, Jun 23 (IBNS): Unhappy with BJP's progress, former Supreme Court Judge Markandey Katju said that the central government has failed on every front and is trying to cover it up with stunts like yoga day and swatchata abhiyan.
Taking a dig at the party, the retired judge let it out on Twitter.
"After its 2 year rule, Modi Govt. has been a failure on every front, & now it can do only stunts like Yoga Day, Swatchata Abhiyan, etc, & stoke the communal fire in view of coming U.P. elections," he said.
Alleging the government of taking a lackadaisical attitude, he said while prices are soaring and the number of malnourished child is increasing, the party is busy doing other things.
"Prices of foodstuffs r soaring, unemployement has become alarming, every second child is malnourished, healthcare&good education almost non existent for masses, & yet this Govt. is like Nero fiddling while Rome burns."
