Three arrested for murder of seven-year-old girl who had been raped
Allahabad, Jul 1 (IBNS) : Three people have been arrested for the murder of a seven-year-old girl who was earlier raped by a 15-year-old boy near Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, reports said.
One of those arrested is the father of the alleged rapist. Police said the murder was committed to prevent the child from testifying against the rapist boy.
Police have also registered complaint against some local leaders for allegedly inciting the girl's family.

The child was raped on June five, allegedly by a 15-year-old living next door to her in their village 50 km from Allahabad.
Her family says that for weeks, the police refused to register a case. The teen was arrested only on Sunday last.
Two days after that the child was dragged out of her home at night by five people, including the father of the alleged rapist. The child was then stabbed to death.

Among those accused is the husband of the village council head, who was reportedly a close friend of the alleged rapist's father.
