Three killed, 30 injured in Jaipur as hotel's false ceiling collapses on marriage party
Jaipur, Jul 7 (IBNS) : Three persons were killed and 30 injured when a false ceiling of a banquet of a star hotel caved in on Wednesday afternoon when a pre-marriage ceremony was going on, reports said.
Reports quoted Jaipur Police Commissioner Sanjay Agarwal as saying that three bodies were recovered and 30 people rescued from under the debris.
The reason of the collapse would be ascertained as forensic and structural engineering teams have been called, he said.
The three star hotel has been sealed, and an FIR against the owner has been lodged at Jawahar Nagar police station.
About 80 people were attending the pre-marriage celebration when the incident occurred.
