Three-year-old kidnapped for ransom, strangulated to death in Delhi
New Delhi, July 28 (IBNS) : A three-year-old boy, kidnapped by a man for ransom, was allegedly strangulated to death in the national capital, media reports said on Thursday.
The accused has been arrested by police.
The incident took place in West Delhi’s Nangloi area.
Mayank, the child, went missing on Monday morning while playing outside his house. Reports quoted police as saying that he was last seen with Mansingh (21).
The accused was detained and during interrogation he confessed that he had kidnapped the boy and strangulated him to death as he was crying.
After interrogating Mansingh, the boy's body was recovered from a rainwater filled ditch near Surajmal Vihar Metro station on Wednesday.
The accused was reportedly addicted to drugs.
The local people staged a protest outside Nangloi Police Station in protest against the incident.
