Vasundhara Raje cancels London trip Amid Lalit Modi furore
Jaipur, June 24 (IBNS) Amid a massive controversy over her links with former IPL chief Lalit Modi, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has cancelled a trip to London.
Reports quoted Raje's office as saying that she will instead take part in a meeting of the new plan panel - Niti Aayog - on the weekend.
She was to travel to London on Friday for an investors' meet, along with a delegation.
The Chief Minister is yet to make any public statement on documents revealed by Lalit Modi last week, which showed that she had agreed to secretly support his immigration application to the UK at a time he was being investigated for corruption in India.
The BJP, which at first was seen to have distanced itself from Raje, finally offered her strong support when union minister Nitin Gadkari met Raje on Monday.
