Author interview: Subash Kedia says 'Emotional Intelligence 10X' is about creating a win-win situation
Congratulations on the release of 'Emotional Intelligence 10X'. What is the feedback from your friends and readers who have already read your book?
Thank you. Writing a book is harder than I thought and more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. None of this would have been possible without my friends, family and well-wishers. I have received immense response for my book release. Within just two days of book release, all the books are sold out from Amazon, Shopclues, Snapdeal and various other sites. I have requested my publisher “Power Publication” to refill the stock as soon as possible as the demands are too high for my book. Some readers who have read the book had an amazing experience so far. They have personally left me messages saying that this book has the potential to change our lives for better.
What kind of books inspire you as a writer? Who are your favorite authors?
I read a variety of book on different subjects and genre, however the books that really motivate me and inspire me are books on leadership and self-help. My favorite authors are Brian Tracy, Shiv Khera, Darren Hardy, Robin Sharma and Dale Carnegie.
Why did you want to become a writer? Who inspired you to become a writer? What triggered you to come into writing?
As a motivational speaker, trainer and coach, I spend most of my time speaking at different seminars and workshops across the globe. As I am on a mission to inspire ten million people with my work by 2020, I realized that books are one of the best mediums to reach maximum number of people who are located even at remote parts of the world and this led me to become a writer.
I am a self-motivated person and I strongly believe that we should not wait for someone to come and inspire us to take action. The moment I realized that I need to write a book to reach maximum people to transform their lives, I pulled up my sleeves and started writing the book.
Books are our best friends and authoring a book is the noblest of work that I can think of. Writing was always there in me from my childhood. Earlier, I used to write blogs, poetriy and articles in various newspapers and magazines. Off late I realized that I can take it even forward and thus writing a book was triggered in me.
What are you doing to let readers know about your book?
I personally feel that we should give our 100 per cent to whatever task we are currently doing. Now that the book has been written and already published, the next bigger task for me is to market the book, so that people become aware of it. I am leaving no stone unturned to let readers know about my book. So far, I have set digital campaigns for my book in all social media sites like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. I have also setup google ads, so that the book can reach a wider audience. Apart from this, I have decided to gift a complimentary copy of my book to all prominent personalities in the country. A few radio interviews and newspaper interviews are also in the offing so that we can make the book more visible. Besides, you can also see a poster of my book stuck to the back of my car.
Tell me something about your book. Some highlights.

Other Highlights:
• Readers first: This book has been written from a reader’s perspective. Each reader comes from a different background and hence every reader is unique. I have made sure that each and every reader gets the maximum value out of this book.
• Simple to the core: This book is written in simple and plain English. I have given my best efforts to avoid any technical jargon and tried to explain each concept in the most simplistic and realistic manner, so that even an eight year old can understand.
• The 3 ‘I’s (Interesting, Informative and Inspiring): The chapters of this book has been designed keeping the 3 ‘I’s in mind. I have used anecdotes, stories, quotes to make the chapters interesting and have also used lots of data analysis, facts, figures, research, surveys and humor has also been used to make the content more informative and inspiring.
• Call to action: I firmly believe that only information is not enough for the reader. The reader must be provided with an action plan, so that they can turn their newly acquired knowledge into producing great results. Hence, each chapter ends with a ‘Action Plan’ which will bring in more clarity and provide a clear cut direction to the reader in terms of what actions he or she needs to take before moving on to the next chapter.
