6.1 earthquake hits Japan

Tokyo, Nov 24 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter Scale hit Japan on Thursday, officials said.

The quake hit the Fukushima-ken Oki region int eh nation.

As per the Japan meteorological agency, the epicentre of the quake was located at
latitude 37.1 degrees North and longitude 141.5 degrres east.

No tsunami warning has been issued so far.

No casualty has been reported.,
