Afghanistan: Gunmen stomp ex-Taliban leader's house, kill one

Kabul, Dec 24 (IBNS): At least one person was killed by gunmen who attacked ex-Taliban leader Mawlavi Abdul Salam Zaeef's residence in Kabul, local Khaama Press reported.

The alleged incident took place on Friday evening in Bagrami district near the national capital.  

Following the incident, the Afghan government has initiated an investigation.

The deceased person is identified as a security guard of the former militant.

No group, including the Taliban, have owned up so far.
