Afghanistan: Three terrorists shot dead as attack on Northgate hotel ends in Kabul
Kabul, Aug 1 (IBNS): A coordinated Taliban attack on Kabul's Northgate hotel finally ceased on Monday morning as all three terrorists were gunned down by Afghan forces, reports said.
The attack took place at 1:30 am on Monday, following the detonation of a Vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) near the hotel premises, Khaama Press reported.
Afghan Ministry of Interiors spokesperson Sediq Sediqi informed reporters about the encounter of the three terrorists.
The Taliban, who shouldered responsibility for the attack, said that heavy casualties have been incurred, though the official figures are yet to be determined by the authorities.
