BJP holds demonstration against AAP govt over alleged distribution of poor quality medicines
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday held a demonstration near the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office against the Delhi government over the alleged distribution of poor-quality medicines in hospitals and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj.
Addressing the party workers, Delhi BJP unit president Virendra Sachdeva alleged that Kejriwal claimed that his government's health model was a pioneer in the country but now this health model stands exposed.
Taking a dig at the AAP government, Sachdeva said that Delhi government hospitals are providing poor quality medicines to poor patients and are unsafe for female medico staff too.
"Only this week we have seen the incident of a female medico at Delhi government's Burari Hospital complaining of alleged sexual harassment and the government tried to suppress it for three days," he alleged.
The BJP Delhi unit president said: "We will take this poor medicines distribution issue of the Kejriwal government to every corner of the city and press for the resignation of the CM and the health minister."
