Captured BSF jawan to be released today from Pak
New Delhi, Aug 8 (IBNS): The Border Security Force (BSF) jawan who was captured by the Pakistani troops for allegedly crossing the border is expected to be released on Friday, sources said.
The jawan, identified as Satyasheel Yadav, is now being held at Markiwalla camp in Pakistan. He was reportedly quizzed by the Pakistani spy-agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Field Intelligence Unit.
The decision to release Yadav was taken in a flag meeting between border guarding forces of both the neighbouring nations on Thursday.
According to sources, Yadav who was part of a team patrolling the River Chenab entered into the Pakistani territory on Wednesday as the engine of the motorboat collapsed.
While attempting to get into a rescue boat, Yadav fell into the river and was pushed by strong currents onto the Pakistani side. He was first spotted by the villagers there and then handed over to Pakistan troops.
