Delhiites have to pay more for power now
New Delhi, July 17 (IBNS) The residents of Delhi, who often reel under power cuts, will now have to shell out more for their power connection with the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission announcing a hike by 8.32 per cent for all three distribution companies.
The three discoms are BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, BSES Yamuna Power Limited and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited.
The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission also hiked tariffs in areas under the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) by 9.52%.
Those who consume over 800 units will be affected by the hike.
DERC Chairperson PD Sudhakar said the hike is marginal and domestic consumers will not be that affected.
