Diplomacy is the best way to solve global problems: US presidential aspirant Robby Wells

Kolkata, Oct 13 (IBNS): Robby Wells, a candidate for 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries and caucuses, said that he prefers diplomacy over war to resolve internal or international issues.

He was talking at a panel discussion hosted by JIS Group Educational Initiatives, in Kolkata, recently.
 
Robby Wells was in Kolkata as a part of his international campaign.
 
Said Wells, "War is always an option, but it should be your absolutely last option. I believe in diplomacy to achieve world's peace."
 
"Our former president Barack Obama is a great example of following the way of diplomacy and I would follow the same if elected as the next President of the USA in 2020," Wells said.
 
Talking about the recent terrorism incidents in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, Robby Wells said, "Being an ally, I hope India will stand with us against North Korea. If I'm elected as president, the US will be standing with India against any terrorist group in Pakistan or anywhere else."
 
When he was asked about the Rohingya issue in Myanmar, he said, "It is always very painful to see the loss of innocent lives."
 
"The only way to defeat any terrorist group in any country is to defund them," he added.
 
Speaking on the H1-B visa row, the presidential aspirant said, "US has always been a land of opportunities. Keeping our citizens safe and ensuring jobs for them, we should provide opportunities to our allies."
 
Appreciating Indians who are living in the US, Robby Wells said, "We have millions of Indian-Americans in the US. They are peaceful people, hard workers and very smart."
 
“We need to have leaders who are bridge builders and not bridge burners. Our greatest asset is our people, so we wish to invest in our people,” he said.
 
Robby Wells is currently holding his international campaign 'Rise Up', which is about world peace and sustainable development of energy resources, and believes in a strong revival of the American economy to its previous glory.
 
"We have been restoring the US economy. Present President of the US, Donald Trump is claiming all its credits, but it all started five to six years ago when Barrack Obama took over as US President," Wells said.
 
Explaining the 'Rise Up' campaign, CEO and Founder of the World News Network, Satish Reddy, who is working as the ambassador for International Relations for Robby Wells, said, "The US has over three million residents of Indian origin who wish to invest back into India." 
 
 
"It’s the first time that a presidential candidate has designed a campaign where he plans to visit 20 countries in six months as most American citizens come from other countries," Reddy said.
 
Senior professor Ajoy Kumar Roy also joined the panel discussion.
 
"I believe that more and more research work is needed in every country for vast development. Our government should invest more in the research sector," Ajoy Kumar Roy said.
 
"The main reason behind the huge success of the US is because its government helps start-ups and entrepreneurship to grow. We need a partnership between US and India to develop start-ups and entrepreneurs for our county's development," Roy added.
 
Speaking on the event, Director of JIS Group, Simarpreet Singh, said, “The JIS group, apart from being a proponent of path breaking and sound education system and initiatives, also supports world peace and welcomes such initiatives for the larger good of humanity and universal cooperation.”
