Flight landing scare: Jet Airways says extending cooperation to DGCA

New Delhi, Mar 4 (IBNS) After 127 passengers on board a Jet Airways plane from New Delhi had a close shave when its main landing gear collapsed during landing in Mumbai, the airline said it is extending full cooperation with DGCA and kept it informed.

A spokesperson of Jet Airways said: “Jet Airways flight 9W 354 reported a technical fault with the main landing gear after landing in Mumbai at 2152 hrs on March 3, 2016. All 120 passengers and 8 crew were safely disembarked and no injuries were reported."
 
"Jet Airways’ team provided prompt assistance and care to all the guests. Recovery operations for the aircraft commenced simultaneously and continued through the night. As of 1000 hrs today the recovery operations have been completed and the aircraft has been shifted to the Jet Airways hangar," the spokesperson said.
 
The airline has kept the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) informed about the event and is extending all co-operation.
 
"Jet Airways would like to thank DGCA, Mumbai International Airport Ltd., Air Traffic Control and other stakeholders for their timely support,” the spokesperson said.
