Govt likely to increase cigarette prices

New Delhi, June 21 (IBNS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government might increase cigarette prices in the coming days.

According to reports, the Union Health Ministry has recommended a Rs 3.5 hike per stick for all types of cigarettes.

 
The decision is likely to be announced during presentation of the General Budget in July.
