Govt rescues two abducted Indians in South Sudan, tweets Swaraj
New Delhi, Mar 31 (IBNS): The Government of India has rescued two Indians, who were abducted in South Sudan, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted on Friday.
The rescued personnel have been identified as Midhun and Edward.
"I am happy to inform about the release of two Indian nationals Midhun and Edward who were abducted in South Sudan," he tweet read.
"They have reached Indian Embassy in Khartoum," an ensuing tweet read.
Swaraj has also lauded the effort of Indian Ambassador Srikumar Menon in the rescue operation.
"I appreciate the efforts of Indian Ambassador in South Sudan Srikumar Menon for the release of Indian nationals," she said.
