Indian arrested in China for suspected terror links released
Beijing, Jul 18 (IBNS) An Indian national, detained in China for suspected terror links, has been released, reports said on Saturday.
Rajiv Mohan Kulshrestha is now reportedly on his way back home after being released on Friday night.
He was among 20 foreign tourists, who were detained in Northern China on July 10 on suspected terror links.
After deporting 11 of them few days later China held back Kulshrestha, a businessman, five South Africans and three Britons.
They were kept at a detention centre in inner Mongolia, reports quoted Gift of the Givers, a South African Charity as saying.
The Indian embassy in Beijing had been negotiating for his release over the last few days.
Chinese authorities said that some of those arrested had been watching "terror" videos, linked to a banned group, at their hotel, the charity had added in its statement.
