J &K :BJP leader whose guard's AK-56 was snatched by terrorists held
Srinagar, June 30 (IBNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir police have detained four persons, including BJP leader Ghulam Mohammad Chopan, after terrorists barged into his house and snatched away his guard's AK-56 in Central Kashmirs Chadoora area of Budgam district.
A report by CNN-News 18 said the police have also questioned the BJP leader's daughter-in-law in connection with the case.
Reports quoted the BJP leader's daughter-in-law as saying that the personal security guard was not at their house when some terrorists barged into their house. She told police that the gunmen barged into their house at around 9:25 am and the PSO who lives nearby came at9:30 am.
She also reportedly said that she gave the rifle and magazines to terrorists to avoid any confrontation.
The police have constituted a Special Investigation Team to expedite the probe.
