Jharkhand: Mine collapses in Lalmatia, traps over 40
Ranchi, Dec 30 (IBNS): At least 40 people are feared to be trapped inside a mine after it collapsed in Jharkhand's Lalmatia, reports said.
The incident took place at Latmatia mines of Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) in Godda district on Thursday night.
Apart from people, several vehicles are also trapped, police said.
Following a rescue operation, four workers have been rescued so far and have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das is reportedly keeping a close watch.
