Malegaon blast accused Lt Col Prasad Purohit walks out of jail after nine years
New Delhi, Aug 23 (IBNS): Malegaon blast accused Lt Col Prasad Purohit walked out of jail after nine years with the conditional bail granted by the Supreme Court, media reports said.
The Supreme Court on Monday granted a conditional bail to Lt Col Prasad Purohit who was accused of 2008 Malegaon blast.
Lt Col Purohit was in jail since 2008 and earlier was denied bail by the Bombay High Court.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has opposed his bail in the last hearing saying there was evidence against Lt Col Purohit.
However, other accused Sadhvi Pragya was earlier granted bail by the Bombay High Court.
On September 2008, two bombs were blasted in Malegaon, Maharashtra. Seven people died in the blast.
