Militant killed in encounter in Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 24 (IBNS) : One militant was killed in a fierce gun battle in the Lolab area in North Kashmir's Kupwara district on early Monday.

The militant was killed in Warnow Lolab, around 100 km from Srinagar, the Army said.

The gun fight broke out  when a joint team of police and the army launched a search operation after receiving inputs  about the presence of militants in the area.

The search operation is on.
