Modi among 30 most influential people on internet: Time magazine
New Delhi, Mar 6 (IBNS): In a significant achievement for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his name has featured among the 30 most influential people on the internet by Time magazine.
He shares the list with US President Barack Obama, British author of the Harry Potter series fame JK Rowling and singers Taylor Swift as well as Beyonce among others.
According to the magazine, the Indian Prime Minister has roughly 38 million total followers on Twitter and Facebook, more than any other leader in the world except President Obama.
"And unlike many of his contemporaries, Modi recognizes that social media can be invaluable when trying to reach India’s 200 million-plus online population directly.
