Munich shooting: Gunman kills nine in shopping mall
Munich, July 23 (IBNS): At least nine people were killed as a gunman attacked a shopping mall in Germany's Munich city on Friday, reports said.
According to reports, the suspected attacker,who was identified by the police as a 18-year-old German-Iranian dual national, killed himself.
The incident left 16 people injured.
The body of the suspect was found about 1km (0.6 miles) from the Olympia shopping centre in the north-western suburb of Moosach, BBC reported.
Munich police chief Hubertus Andrae was quoted as saying by BBC: "The motive or explanation for this crime is completely unclear."
After suspending the Bavarian capital's transport system and evacuating the central railway station following the attack, the public transport was later reopened.
This attack occurred just few days after the terror attack in French city Nice which left 84 people killed while many were injured during the Bastille day celebrations.
