PM Modi greets people of Goa on statehood day
New Delhi, May 30 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted the people of Goa on their state day.
Praying for the state's prosperity, the Prime Minister's tweeted, "Greetings to the people of Goa on Goa Statehood Day. I pray for Goa's progress and prosperity in the years to come."
Following the state elections earlier this year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) formed the government there.
Goa is also a key tourist destination in India, and attracts a large number of foreigners.
