PM Modi greets people of Tajikistan on independence day
New Delhi, Sept 9 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the people of Tajikistan on their Independence Day.
In a message the Prime Minister said : "My greetings to the people of Tajikistan. India and Tajikistan are actively working to further strengthen their ties in agriculture, connectivity, trade and defence."
"India shares deep historical and cultural links with Tajikistan," he added.
On September 9, 1991, Tajikistan, part of the erstwhile Soviet Union, declared its independence.
