Senior advocate Dushyant Dave made an urgent mention that in June 2016 the apex court had reserved its judgement for three months on the decade-old  disproportionate asset case against Jayalalithaa. 

In May 2016, the Bench had issued notice on the appeals against the acquittal by the Karnataka High Court, according to media reports.

 

The apex court had sought the responses of Jayalalithaa and the three co-accused — Sasikala, Elavarasi and Sudhakaran, which was followed by a break to study the various aspects of the case.
