Tamil Nadu: MLA dies on the morning of oath taking day

Chennai, May 25 (IBNS) S M Seenivel, a new MLA of AIADMK, died on Wednesday morning, the day of his oath taking, reports said.

Seenivel passed away in a a private hospital, following a stroke he suffered on May 18.

Seenivel, 65, was declared a winner while he was in the hospital.

The MLA from Madurai, defeated his closest rival, DMK's Manimaran, by 22,900 odd votes.
