Two killed, many injured in explosions in Xinjiang
Beijing, Sep 22 (IBNS): Multiple explosions in Chinas western region of Xinjiang killed at least two people and injured many others, media reports said on Monday.
According to a report on the Tianshan news portal that is run by the regional branch of the Communist Party, the explosions happened at about5 pm on Sunday in at least three places of Luntai county in central Xinjiang, about 360-km southwest of the capital Urumqi.
The injured people were taken to hospital and an investigation was also underway, it said.
Public security officers quickly handled the situation,” media reports confirmed.
