Virat urges fans to treat animals justly on Holi
Mumbai, Mar 13 (IBNS): Indian cricket captain and batting mainstay Virat Kohli on Monday greeted fans on Holi, while urging them to treat animals with compassion and not take the 'silent ones' for granted.
Sharing a video on Instagram, the star athlete said, "Hello everyone, just want to wish you all a very very happy Holi. Though my Holi is going to be spent travelling to Ranchi, but I wish you all a great day today. Enjoy with your family and friend. Have lots of fun and look after your pets."
Advocating animal safety, he added, "Be safe and please don't humiliate any animals on the streets either. Don't throw water on them, or balloons. Don't throw colours at them. It's very important that their safety is also looked after. At the same time enjoy yourselves, enjoy this great festival. I wish you all a great day. God bless."
He also tweeted, "Have a very Happy and a Safe #Holi everyone. Please take care of the silent ones. #HappyHoli #SafeHoli."
